Help the Aged campaign shortlisted for IPR award

first_img Help the Aged has been shortlisted for an award for its Winter Deaths campaign by the Institute of Public Relations.The charity has reached the last six in the not-for-profit category of the IPR Excellence Awards. The category attracted over 100 entries. The winner will be revealed at a presentation dinner at the Hilton Hotel, London on 5 July 2004.Using Help the Aged’s own research, which highlighted that 22% of older people were sometimes forced to choose between heating and eating, the charity’s campaign vigorously drew attention to this situation, raising public awareness and forcing the government to respond.
