With offices in Burlington and St. Albans, Walsh & Monaghan serves residential, commercial and public sector clients with legal representation in areas that include environmental and land use matters, government and municipal law, real estate transactions, business law, and estate planning.Tom Walsh has a BS in Agricultural Engineering/Environmental Technology from Cornell University, and JD (Cum Laude) and Masters in Environmental Law and Policy (Cum Laude) from Vermont Law School. He represented Vermont’s Environmental and Natural Resource Boards from 1999 to 2005 and was the enforcement attorney for Act 250. Returning to private practice in 2005, Walsh continues to provide legal representation for clients on a wide range of environmental and land use issues that include compliance counseling, permitting, negotiation, litigation, regulatory advocacy, and enforcement defense issues. He also provides personal and business planning services that include estate planning and business formation. Walsh is a resident of Burlington.Brian Monaghan is a graduate of Castleton State College and Vermont Law School who served as staff attorney at the Vermont League of Cities and Towns Municipal Assistance Center, counseling local governments on a wide range of issues. Entering private practice in 2006, Monaghan represents local governments, businesses and private clients in labor and employment matters, planning and zoning issues as well as commercial and residential real estate transactions.
